Cookies and storage

Last updated: 6 September 2026

This site sets no cookies at all โ€” not essential ones, not analytics ones, not third-party ones. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. What the site does use is your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.

What is stored on your device

NameWhat it holdsWhy
rml_catThe category tab you last usedSo you do not re-pick it every visit
rml_checksWhich items you have ticked on the shooting checklistSo the ticks survive a reload
rml_historyYour recent set scores, as numbersTo show whether you are improving
rml_proYour PRO key and the details you typed for the branded scorecardSo you do not re-enter the key
rml_subThe PayPal subscription id your key was issued againstTo re-issue the key if you clear it
rml_beforeA saved "before" set, for the before/after linkOnly written when you press "save as before"

None of this is transmitted. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it; the only thing you would want to keep a copy of is your PRO key, which is also in your PayPal receipt.

The service worker

The site installs a service worker so it works offline and loads quickly. It caches the site's own files โ€” the page, the scripts, the two hero images, the icons. It caches no photo of yours and no personal data.

Third-party cookies

The PayPal buttons are drawn by PayPal's own script and PayPal may set cookies when you interact with them, under its own policy. Nothing else on the page can set a cookie. If you never open the pricing section, no third party is contacted for payments at all.

Turning it off

Blocking local storage for this site is fine โ€” the tool still works, it just forgets your category, your checklist and your key between visits.
